The editor is very easy to understand making it usable by almost everyone, which also means that there will surely be a lot of maps to come. Though the editor lacks in customization, I would really love to see a way to customize planets to change their looks instead of being forced to change the type of planet for it to look as you want. I can only recommend this if you are eager to make or edit maps, since it really lacks in certain things to make greater detail on your maps. I'll leave it to you.. Love this pack, it gives a lot more variety I feel to the maps. :) Just wish now that you could literally explore in a black hole, which unfortunately isn't possible lol :). Edited:After filing a bug-ticket, the bug was fixed within days. Well done!As I still have a few issues with this dlc (related to core game design), I still leave it in not-recommended state----Original post:Although the original game sometimes freezes up and drops to desktop, this is the first time I encounter this new bug. I can't but to wonder if its related to the DLC:After a few turns on DLC map, the game was not able to end my turn. I was caught in a limbo state and had to Retire to get anywhere. However, the map looks good and will provide some new mechanics (if it only worked).. Very easy to use map editer that does what it say on the tin and lets you make your own map. I think it is fantastic being able to make your own maps to play on and having the option to upload them to steam workshop to share with everone eles so what is not to love. the only bad point is it does not show you where the edge of the map is very well.I give it 4 out of 5. It does it job :-). Unfortunately, this is not much of a map editor at all. In fact, if you own the DLC and expansions that came after its release, you won't be able to include them in your custom maps. The features of a map editor that you are used to are not present in this $5 package, such as editing civilization starting positions, planet customization, building\/improvement customization, placing units, and so on. If you want to crash the program, just change a planet's Class to 0. Yeah.Lastly, who the hell charges people for map editors of their games? Why the asinine cheapshot in giving us a near-worthless product, Stardock, let alone charging us for it in the first place? What is wrong with you people?. The map editor is really difficult to understand it. The Milky Way scenario is present under the campaign section -> Standalone section. What I dislike is the fact that you have to PAY this dlc in order to create your own maps!. I Love the Game, i Spend a lot of Hours in and i Think it will accumulate more, this is not my Problem.I am incredibly disappointed from the Map Editor, not beacause you have to pay for it. I have not a Problem with a Map Editor who is easy to handle and spend a littel money for it.My Problem is that i can not Create Planets which I would like to create, because you have no access to the Surface to Change the Combi of the buildable area. You cant also change the advantages areas, Like Military +3 or who is Sitting the Helios Ore.And in the Editing of the Planets there are no description of the different bonuses they could have, this is so corrosive, confusing and unnecessary.I am so massive angry, that i advise against the Map Editor DLC. The Description that i can Create my Own Universe is a joke. The Content of the Planets is still random, and for that i dont need this Map Pack, im so .........
